The Irishman is a 2019 released American classic crime cinema directed and produced by Martin Scorsese and written by Steven Zaillian, based on the 2004 non-fiction book “I Heard You Paint Houses” by Charles Brandt. The movie tracks the lead Frank Sheeran played by Robert De Niro life who is a truck driver turned hitman getting in bed with a mafia boss Russell Bufalino played by Pesci and his crime family.

 This epic crime drama received universal critical acclaim, with a special appreciation for Scorsese’s direction and the performances of De Niro, Pacino, and Pesci along with being nominated for several awards under several categories including 73rd British Academy Film Awards,  77th Golden Globe Awards, and the 92nd Academy Awards.
